The challenge: digitally controlling and monitoring a conveyor belt
An existing sample inspection conveyor belt needed to be equipped with digital control and a clear user interface. This required a direct connection to the PLC cabinet of the conveyor belt.
Through this integration, the software can communicate with the technical controls of the installation, making it possible to operate the conveyor belt from a single central interface.
A user-friendly interface for complete control
In addition to the technical integration, we designed and implemented a new UI that allows employees to easily operate the conveyor belt and monitor the measurement process.
The interface ensures that important information is clearly available and that the process is carried out in a simpler, more reliable, and more user-friendly manner.
Automatic registration of every measurement
During every sample measurement, a photo is automatically taken and linked to the corresponding measurement. This creates a digital record of the inspection process and makes it easy to review previous results afterwards.
This visual documentation provides more insight and makes it possible to better analyse inspections.

The combination of PLC integration, custom software, and image registration forms a future-proof foundation for further automation.
Ready for the future with AI integration
The next step in this project is the integration of AI. Through image recognition, every measurement can be automatically analysed and the category of products on the conveyor belt can be determined.
